Research Actuary (f/m/d) North East Asia

For our Unit Life/Health North East Asia we are seeking to appoint a Research Actuary (f/m/d) based in our Cologne office starting as soon as possible.

Job Description:

As a Research Actuary you will be the centralized contact for our research efforts in Japan, Korea and Taiwan. You will work in an interdisciplinary team of actuaries, underwriters and medical doctors. The position includes a broad range of tasks, including:

  • Follow the latest international developments in products covering biometric risks such as health, critical illness, life and long term care.
  • Develop innovative product concepts.
  • Develop tailored solutions for both product design and pricing based on the evaluation of risks associated with the products elements.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Actuary, at least ASA, on the way to fellowship.
  • At least 5 years of product experience in at least one Asian market.
  • Ability to understand and solve complex issues and to make it understandable for stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Asian cultures and understanding of local business requirements.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to read and understand Chinese, Japanese or Korean is an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
