Your Role:

Job Description:
Senior Technology Analyst (General Reinsurance Corporation; Stamford, CT) Create, develop, design, test, and document middle ware-based applications, tools and systems software to connect General Reinsurance Corporation's diverse databases, including Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and Sybase. Responsible for analyzing General Reinsurance Corporation needs to develop applications to support the new SAP based system landscape including the following SAP modules: SAP Business Partner (BP), Financial Service Reinsurance (FS-RI), Financial Service Collections and Disbursements (FS-CD), and Financial General Ledger (FI-GL). Provide ongoing maintenance support for SAP production system. Determine feasibility of application design within time and cost constraints, isolating and communicating gaps in design. Perform quality reviews of technical and functional specifications, implementation support, testing of new functionality and assessment of new software application releases. Collaborate with functional team to resolve software applications defects and ensure that test documentation and processes are followed. Ensure application product and performance quality through testing and deliver continuous quality improvements. Engage in contract and milestone review, budgeting and working time approvals. Effectively communicate instructions for SAP application products and processes. Coordinate with business process owners, functional and technical staff to design, customize and implement General Reinsurance Corporation-specific solutions to improve software applications business processes. Lead architectural design middle-ware applications projects integrating with the new system landscape (e.g. solution for Facultative Unit, SharePoint applications, pricing applications). Develop roadmap for General Reinsurance Corporation's User Experience Strategy involving new products (such as SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, SAP HANA) as well as General Reinsurance Corporation's possible IT design approach and business use cases. 40 hrs/wk, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Job Details:
Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, plus 3 years of related experience designing Financial Services software, tools and applications within the Reinsurance industry.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: Experience designing applications, software, and tools for the following SAP Modules: Financial Service Reinsurance (FS-RI), Financial Service Collections and Disbursements (FS-CD), and Financial General Ledger (FI-GL); SAP Programming Experience in ABAP, ABAP Object, ABAP Web Dynpro, SAPUI5 as well as further SAP development objects (reports, interfaces, BAdIs, BAPIs, Customizing (IMG)); Experience applying SAP Technology for application support, development, integration with non-SAP applications, and process improvements; and, Experience managing the review of functional & technical specifications, design documents and code reviews as well as providing architectural guidelines.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Analyzing technical setup & underlying data model of SAP systems; and, Experience configuring and customizing SAP applications.

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following: Developing software applications to support insurance / reinsurance industry activities; and, Analyzing insurance / reinsurance business processes and requirements and to provide recommendations for technical strategies, approach, and solutions.
